Brief Bio

I am an Associate Professor in Computer Science at the UTBM and researcher at the IRTES-SeT Laboratory (Belfort, France) where I carry out research in Agent-Oriented Software Engineering and multiagent-based simulation. I am also an external member of the GITIA Laboratory (Tucumán, Argentina).

I received my PhD in Computer Science from the University of Technology of Belfort-Montébliard (UTBM) in 2007. In 2005, I received an Engineering degree in Computer Science (specialty in Software Engineering) from the UTBM and a MSc in Computer Science, Automatic and Manufacturing Systems from the University of Franche-Comté (UFC).

I am also a consultant in the domain of software engineering, simulation and cyber-physical simulation, and thus advise companies in their research and development projects on the evaluation, the design and the deployment of behavioral simulations and their associated visualization solutions (virtual environments, 3D). I work in particular with the Voxelia company specialist in the field of computer graphics and simulation in virtual urban environment.
I also advise companies in their integration of the simulation within their product design processes.

Research interests

My main research interests deal with the modeling, analysis and simulation of complex systems using Agent-Oriented Software Engineering (AOSE), Holonic Multiagent Systems and Multiagent-based simulation. I am also involved in various industrial projects dealing with the simulation of virtual entities (pedestrian, transportation systems, etc) in virtual environments.

Currently, my researches focus mainly, in terms of applications, with Transports Systems' Simulation at different scales and possibly in interaction with other scientific and engineering points of view like Land-Use.
